What does Christianity have to do with Philosophy?
Christians often talk as though philosophy is diametrically opposed to their faith. This has become more and more the prevailing idea as dialogue has broken down between diverse groups. But I think this is a great loss. Christianity offers deep and satisfying answers to life’s most difficult questions. And this blog is an attempt at answering some of the most difficult and also some of the practical questions people deal with that Christianity offers a response to.
In 2020, 2.4 billion people identified as Christians. This is almost a third of the world’s population. Many people, Christians included, still have questions to life’s most essential questions, but unfortunately a lot of them don’t go looking in the Bible.
Many people have been told what the bible says, but fewer look themselves. One doesn’t need a degree to understand the Bible as it speaks plainly. And this is why this blog will almost never quote anything outside of the Scriptures.
The Scriptures deal with difficult topics, so this blog will be dealing directly with those difficult questions, but please know that the intent is neither to silence or divide. It’s rather to spark dialogue—something that we’re quickly losing. No one person has all the answers, but by talking about the important things together and attempting to understand what the Bible says on these topics, we may all get a little closer.
